Christmas 2015

It's tradition that we go to Yakima for the holidays. Christmas Eve is always spent at Nick's grandma's house. We do some gift opening there, and have a good meal with the family. Christmas morning is always spent at Harry and Diane's house. We open gifts, and are treated to a big breakfast feast. After that, it's back to grandma's house to hang out and eat another amazing dinner. Pictures of the weekend are here:

Christmas morning with the girls in their matching pajama's from the pajama fairy.
The pajama fairy gives a gift of new Christmas jammies on Christmas Eve.
It's a tradition Jamie's mom did with her girls, and will be passed down.

Harry and Diane got a unique real tree this year

We love spending time with the girls together!

Skyler is teething and chews on everything, including her own hand

Ava found her old Bumbo chair that she let Skyler borrow. She was pretty excited to see it again.

Christmas Preparations

We are busy getting ready for the holidays!

Playing with Christmas lights

Skyler's first Christmas tree

I had fun with our Christmas tags this year... I cut out pictures of Skyler with the person who the present is for. Here's a present for her great grandma.

Present to grandpa from Sky

Present for cousin Ava from Sky

More for Ava

Bowling holiday party for Jamie's work. Brag session... scored a 214 on the first game she bowled (and hadn't bowled since the last Christmas party). She's the 3rd line down. Woop woop!

Day care was closed for 2 weeks, week of Christmas and after. Look who had to come to work with mommy for a bit. I think she's figured out what to do... after she woke up from her nap.

We were treated to a showing of some deer, grazing on the back of our hotel property.

Crawford Family Photos

We tried to get a couple family photos and pics of Skyler before the holidays. She's 5 months old now, so she did pretty good sitting and even standing (with a little assistance). We just went to one of those cheaper quick session places, called Tot Shots. Here's some shots we got.

Fantasy Flight 2015

Another exciting year of Fantasy Flight! Jamie was on the board of the Inland Northwest Business Travel Association when they decided to select Fantasy Flight as their charity to support from the annual auction. Ever since then, she's been hooked on participating in the event directly. This event takes about 65 of the areas most underprivileged children to the North Pole for an adventure they'll never forget. We "Santa's Elves" meet the kids at the airport and take them on a real flight. After the magic chants and waving the magic wands, we land in the "North Pole". There are many fun stations to go to, but the best is obviously when they get to see Santa!

Here's Trixie! No human names aloud during this day.

Some of Santa's helpers preparing the North Pole

It's an Elfie Selfie!

Arts and crafts station where kids can make their own ornaments

Kids turn in their Polar Express ticket to get punched, then a train comes through the tunnel with a special gift on it just for them.

More treats than you can even imagine!

Setting up Ms. Claus's goodies. Elves love sugar loaded kids. Woohoo...
This is just a start... and the kids love the ice cream buffet even more!

Every kid get a cookie with their own name on it

Trixie caught enjoying a treat at the North Pole!

This is a station where kids decorate their own frames. We put their picture with Santa in them.

Frosty's Closet allows the kids to pick out their own special Christmas pajamas

Trixie's child was so excited to get brand new p.j.'s that he wanted to put them on right away!

This way to the Tinsel Tinkle rooms!

Post office where the kids can write letters to Santa

Merlin's Magic Chamber is the best! While we watch an exciting magic show, the kids are called in one by one to see Santa! Santa has a giant bag of toys for each kid.

These are all photos from the set up and orientation time. Once we go to meet the kids, all phones and personal belongings are locked up, because elves don't need them (and some kids aren't allowed to be photographed). The entire day/night is so magical. It's life changing for these kids, but also for us!
